Tavern Diva Faustina

Diva Faustina – Lumbarda

Annia Galeria Faustina (100-140), known as Faustina the Elder (Latin: Faustina Minor), was a Roman noble woman from age of five good emperors, most famous as a Roman empress and wife of Emperor Antoninus Pius.   When Antonin year 138 on the basis of the will of Hadrian got the throne, Faustina had already enjoyed the reputation of one of the most respected women in Rome, emphasizing in charity work, helping orphans and establishing schools for girls. When, after a few years Faustina passed away, Antonin was inconsolable and declare her a goddess and erected a temple in her honor.

In the area where now stands the family house and restaurant were found artifacts from Roman times, including coin with the image of “Diva Faustina”, and all that is exposed in a glass case in the restaurant.

Family restaurant located by the sea, with beautiful views from the terrace which extends to the center of Lumbarda. Gastronomic offer at the restaurant Diva Faustina is based on the Mediterranean with greater  focus on the local Dalmatian cuisine, which is not only a tradition but our passion and our lifestyle. The whole experience is rounded off by excellent wines, especially the indigenous Grk wine, which is produced exclusively in Lumbarda.

We are happy to cook for you.
